New Wayne: Good Idea, Bad Song

Okay, this song leaked a couple days ago, but because Lilweezyana is one of the highest profile artists in the world, there are probably a million blogs, including Gordon Gartrelle, that got on this first.
Anyway, here is Prom Queen, the first leak off Wayne's new "rock" album Rebirth. J Store and I once discussed how dude should make a blues album after he is too old to be taken seriously as a rapper. I like when artists try to venture into different genres, especially when they have as much proven potential as Wayne does. I think Rebirth could be good, but if this early version (sounds like it hasn't been fully mixed yet) of Prom Queen is any indication, Weezy's venture into rock wont be much of a venture at all. What I mean is that besides for the very mediocre guitar riff, this sounds like most of the shit Wayne has put out since Tha Carter III- auto-tuned, lazy and generally unimpressive. I appreciate all of Weezy's attempts to push the envelope and defy the norm, but I think, at this point, he would surprise me most if he dropped some traditional hip hop. I would love if Wayne's next song was a soul-sample heavy beat over which, sans auto-tune, he rapped his little heart out.
I apologize for the dumb dj promotion in the youtube version.
