Hilltop Hoods: Aussie Rap Certified Hot Fire

In college, my roommate put me on to these cats from Australia. It's some of the best foreign hip hop I've ever heard. It's holds true to all of the most important elements of the art. Their beats are absolutely vicious, and they know how to rock the mic as good as anyone. Here is "Nosebleed Section", one of their liver tracks. "I fell in love with the people in the front row"...no one is fucking with that.

this beat does sound like where oscar the grouch lives. and while i do appreciate australians and all kinds of silly criminal cultures attempting to rap, these guys aren't that good.

Word...not particularly bangin but you're right they seem to be trying to pay homage to real hip hop. I found that foreigners are the ones that are really embracing the whole five element hip hop culture thing.
