Zach Darton on Fashion: Autumn Essentials

To start off the Fall/Winter season, I always look back to the classics. It is always better to start off with a few classic pieces of clothing than obscure interesting selections. In this post I will list two trench coats that carry two different price tags one for more of a budget and the other a more expensive coat. In addition to the coats I will show two pairs of boots that wont make you cringe, which I think is difficult when it comes to boots. The boots will carry the same price differential.

Banana Republic Trench coat: This coat is a classic style trench made with 80% wool and 20 percent nylon for a heavier than usual feel. The price and quality match up and that’s really what Banana has been known for providing over the years.

Price $ 280.00

American Eagle Trench coat: This one was a surprise to me not only because it is inexpensive but really because its American Eagle. Usually they have their name or logo emblazoned all over the garment, this one does not. For $ 100 I don’t think you can really go wrong especially with the nice touch of a houndstooth liner.

Price $ 100.00

Bean Boots: An American classic, I remember having these boots all through my childhood, but there back and its like 1994 all over again I can stomp through puddles trudge through snow and not get cold feet. Not to mention the classic rugged styling. These may not be for everybody, but I think they can find a spot in everybody’s closet.

Price $ 80.00

Frapcap Mountaineering boot : These boots are tough, just looking at them I feel like Sir Edmund Hillary. These will probably, look better as they get used, nobody likes new boots, so stiff. With these boots a pair of raw denim and a shirt and you can take on the urban Everest that is NYC (or whichever city your in for that matter).

Price $ 291.00
