New Music: NSR's The Darling Limited EP

Today, NSR aka Noah Souder-Russo aka Young Adrien Brody digitally released his freshman EP, The Darling Limited. Produced by Boston based DJ/Producer Turbz, The Darling Limited is a cut and dry homage to golden-era hip hop, yet it draws influence from dance (The Daft Punkish Better With You), soul (City Life), and rock (Doors like organs and a classic rock bridge on Don't Take the Music), maintaining a worldly feel. NSR's concise witticism, at times funny, at others despairing, is delivered via polysyllabic rhyme schemes and an easygoing cadence. Also, here is what Noah wrote about the EP:
"The title of the EP was inspired by the Wes Anderson movie, The Darjeeling Limited, starring my celebrity look-a-like, Adrien Brody.
This project is my first serious offering to the world. I consider it my baby, or "darling." It is a 25 minute musical manifestation of 25 years of growth as an artist and human being. However, at the same time, it is a "limited" representation of who I am and what I want to communicate to the world. Hence the name, "The Darling Limited."
The Darling Hotel, where I write from, is a fictional place, yet I know you have been there before. "My darling" is not a specific person, thing, place, or event, as there are many. Everyone has their own darlings.
I hope you interpret this album differently from the person sitting next to you. I hope it has meaning and resonates with you. I hope, if you like and/or respect it, you will pass it along to a friend. It is your darling too."
