The other day, Stratetician was at my crib and put on Mike Posner's track "Cooler Than Me". I didn't even listen to the song until I noticed it in an open window in Firefox later that night. Posner is ridiculously talented. He's the full package. He can rap, sing, he's got a great band, and he's a beastly songwriter. Delivered with the freshest of tones, his music is somewhere in between the genres pop and hip hop, with an appeal that is so Hot 97 but so Z100. I've been trying to develop a similar sound with my own music, but it seems Posner has beat me to the punch, and the punch hurts. mike's effing sick. he used to drop by my hip hop class senior year- such an ill kid.
