Pic of the Day 4.14.09

In high school all of the naughty Upper West Side kids would sneak into the Freedom Tunnel, a tunnel meant to be traveled only by Amtrak, up and down the west side of Manhattan, through Riverside Park. I never joined them, but I heard stories of vicious homeless men, giant rats, hardcore drugs and near hit-by-train incidents. I'm still not sure if I have the balls to go in there, but if any wilders would like to explore (safely), the entrances are on 72nd and 125th. For more on the Freedom Tunnel, click here!
