YW's Greatest Rapper of All Time

So here we are. After three weeks of calculating, writing and listening to a shitload of rap, we have come to the end. What a wondrous journey it's been. Thanks to all the contributing writers and judges, and our readers for sharing there opinions.
In the meantime, ol' VodkaTron is nearly out of steam. 45 rapper profiles in two weeks hasn't been an easy task, but then again, neither is downing 10 shots of Georgi in one gulp. Let's see if I don't have enough for one more post. And of course the pregame playlist in an hour or so.

1) Notorious BIG
Average Score: 9.55
Government Name: Christopher Wllace
Margin of Victory: In a quite decisive fashion, Biggie's average score of 9.55 put him .35 above the second place entry, which is the largest margin between two ranking rappers.
Known For: In hip hop, the pure form of hip hop- the god fearing realm of hierarchical respect and the occaisional audacity of disrespect- there is only one king. His career and discography was short. Yet in his wake, no one has dared question his seemingly interminable reign.
Simply put, Biggie is hip hop. Big, huge, larger than life, soulful, gangster, ugly, beautiful, strong, unhealthy, honest, black as night, dangerous, mean, flashy, kind, funny, pensive, clairvoyant, obviously flawed, but truly perfect. His life was a tragedy and an achievement. He wasn't a rose that grew from concrete, he was a blank concrete wall on a shitty corner that someone decided to draw a mural on. He was Brooklyn. He is Brooklyn. He made Brooklyn the Mecca of Hip Hop, with Bed-Stuy as its Masjid al-Haram.

I leave this list on my 199th YW post, and I have little left to say about the matter. So ummmm, I love hip hop with every inch of me. New York is my city. My president is black, and my king is Notorious BIG.
Essential Album: Ready to Die (1994)
