Pic of the Day 03.27.09

I came upon this classy piece of Evangelical literature yesterday while walking to lunch -- it was taped to a mailbox in the West Village. As I read over this hogwash, it occurred to me that bigoted idiocy is protected by the First Amendment. Of course I didn't agree with it, and sure, it might be eerily reminiscent of the anti-Jew Nazi propaganda of the 1930's, but that's part of the beauty of our constitution -- everyone gets a voice.

Scanning over the angry bold-faced words, I came across this passage: "We are living in the last days, the Lord Jesus Christ is about to come for the saints of God. This sin of homosexuality just points to His return. God did not let Sodom and Gomorrah get by, neither will He let America get by. This nation will be judged for this sin." I let the damnation sink in, and then I ripped down the flier. Idiots don't deserve free speech.

* I implore anyone who sees this flier, or ones similar to it, to take it down -- blow your nose in it, piss on it, or save it as toilet paper. And if the Evangelicals don't like it, they can suck a dick. This is how I express my freedom of speech, bitches.
