News Break: Maple Syrup Scent Uncovered!!!

Damn, I really wanted to solve this one myself. Alas, City Hall has beat me again.
The mysterious scent of maple syrup which has plagued the YW staff, as well as the other good people of the upper west side, with curiosity has been traced back to a food processing plant in Bergen County, New Jersey, the mayor said today.
According to Senior Bloomberg, the Fruitoram plant has been processing the Fenugreek seed for the purpose of preservation and consistency. This procedure gives off a scent similar to that of maple syrup, which when coupled with certain strong west-to-east winds, leaves parts of upper Manhattan smelling like delicious breakfast.
The mayor added that he had no reason to believe that the smell was a health hazard, or that Fruitoram was breaking any rules. He also added that he was a fan of maple syrup, particularly on french toast.
