627,000 File New Unemployment Claims Last Week

In a glaring example of the economic recession in the U.S., 627,000 new unemployment claims were filed last week.  While anyone who has been on unemployment knows that it is the jumpoff (you basically get 500 smackers a week for doing nothing), it has a tremendous detremental affect on the economy.  Not only is it people who are not generating income, they are taking much needed funds out of the system without adding anything of value to it.
