Unusual, As Usual

It's been a long time coming, but the day you've all been waiting for has finally arrived. No, not the first day of Obama's presidency. No, the doctor didn't call with your test results, although that is quite a nasty rash. No, I haven't reconsidered your proposal, nor do I have any intention of doing so. After much ado, I am pleased to announce that The Unusuals have finally released their highly anticipated debut EP (free download available HERE). What's that? You've never heard of The Unusuals? Well, my friends, brace yourselves for a tour de vorce verbal montage...

The Unusuals are a metaphor (and similarly, a simile). (Un)Like their predececors, The Unusuals raise the bar in a toast to setting the precedent, making music from the future exist in the present. Unravelling cannonical and fugal stylings, recursive ricercares, layered vocal harmonies with luscious reverb and resounding delays are reoccuring, and uncommon song forms come standard. High standadars for sound is evident, ear candy is plentiful, hypnotism may or may not be employed. In any event, it's an unusual 13.4 minutes of music, worth a listen, maybe two.

Tell your friends.
