Pic(s) of the Day 01.23.09

Ok, so what's the funniest thing about my friends dancing in my wife's music video? Is it the ridiculously tight and undersized clothes they borrowed from her that just scream "HETERO!?" Is it that the tight clothes made me realize one of my boys has a rump like ripe 15-year-old Puerto Rican girl (no homo), and a beer gut like 45-year-old Irishman? Is it my 6'7" friend wearing shorts that are small on my 5'2" wife? Or is it the way my boy's pepperoni nipples are clearly outlined in the pink Hawaii shirt he's wearing? Well, my friends, the answer is none of the above.

Amidst what looked like a B-List tryout for some up-and-coming Chips and Dales-esque male strip club, I discovered that, for the first 12 or 13 years of his life, my good friend Brian thought Elton John's song "Tiny Dancer" was actually titled "Tony Danza." Yes, the Tony Danza that was on "Who's the Boss?" Brian, who loves Mr. Danza, used to get into arguments with people who didn't like Danza's acting stylings and would trump anything they had to say to by exclaiming, "Oh yeah, well that's why Elton John wrote a song about him." What's more, my other boy, Marty, admitted that he thought the same thing for a while. Now that is priceless -- no amount of homoerotic dancing and touching and stripping can compare to the sheer ridiculousness of Elton John writing a song for, or about, Tony fucking Danza.

Nevertheless, the pictures (and video) that follow are as breathtaking as the birth of a lion cub, but for totally different reasons altogether.

1) I don't believe that Schwartz thought that was the NAME of the song. That's just not possible. He knows his rock. However, it is a VERY VERY popular myth that the song is actually about Tony Danza. Google Tony Danza/Tiny Dancer and you'll see.

2) Marty's elegance is akin to a dancing swan.
