The You Wildin' Top Sixty Songs of 2008: 54-52

54) Midnight Juggernauts- Into the Galaxy (Architecture in Helsinki Remix)
If Pink Floyd and Donovan had a kid, and that kid had a kid with the kid of Benny Bennasi and Bob Mcferrin, and then, that kid was actually not a kid at all, but a song, it might be this remix of Into the Galaxy. I love the intro. I love the way it breaks. For some reason it reminds me of the beach, and I love the beach. Definitely among the weirdest songs I have ever posted, and I think that is a good thing.
The main reason this is on here, however, is because both AIH and Midnight Juggernauts have done it up in 2008, and whether or not I love either of them (I don't), they deserve the respect that they will indeed get when people find out they were number 54 on this prestigious list on the unequivocally popular blog that is You Wildin' dot com.

53) Lil Wayne- Let the Beat Build
Motherfuck Chris Brown, 2008 was the year of Wayne. We knew it was coming, and with the Carter III, it came like the last minute in a Bukake film. It's not that the album was entirely stellar, but it had a handful of stellar songs (several of which are on this list) which, when combined his swagger, confidence, tomfoolery, and arsenal of quality mixtapes, make Weezy's name one of the most popular in best-rapper-alive-convos.
As far as Let the Beat Build goes, it is innovative, very well produced, and a generally excellent exposé of Weezy's unparalleled range of flow.

52) Busy P- Pedrophilia (Chewy Chocolate Cookies Remix)
I lost my shit when I heard this for the first time. The original (awesome in its own right) Pedrophilia gives bounce a new meaning, but the Chewy Chocolate Cookies gave it an injection of horse steroids. Such a hard track, and yet so melodic! I was a bit hesitant about putting the remix up, because, well, who the fuck are the Chewy Chocolate Cookies? Judging by their Myspace, some mildly successful Londoners who are really amped on their stupid name.
