Yesterday afternoon the hippest of the hip left Brooklyn and descended on a sweltering Central Park for Mad Fools at Summer Stage. The lineup, featuring A-Trak, Diplo, Kid Cudi, and Santogold, promised what many agreed would be "the coolest show of the summer." Most of the Youwildin' fam was in the house to close out the weekend in true wilder fashion... and that we did.
The show was a sweatbox. It opened with some pretty amateur female hip hop act from Baltimore, which this wilder was not feelin int he least bit. DJ Blaqqstar followed that up with a bumpin set that got the crowd hyped for that new new, the solo dolo, Kid Cudi.
Fresh off the release of his mixtape, Cudi ripped the stage, spitting hard over his signature extraterrestrial beats, owning the crowd from beginning to end. He finished with his off the charts single, "Day and Night."
After Cudi killed it, two of the worlds best DJ's took over the ones and twos. A-Trak, armed with his red Macbook, and Diplo, with his black Macbook, got the spot jumpin. Dudes and girls with shirts off were dancing and wildin' out to an intricate mix of eclectic beats, while Mad Decent's dancers wilded out on stage.
By the time Santogold came on, the crowd was toasted...literally. The combination of the sun, daytime drinking, and Sunday wildin', had drawn the energy from what was a super hyped crowd. Apparently she rocked the spot though.
Next Sunday, more wildin'...

I think I get the wilder award for the day for getting recognized(?!?!) by the security guard working the VIP entrance and then being allowed to set up in the front before the line was even let in.
VIP wilder?
i think so.
